Talk:Main Page
Did a comparison between Radreise-wiki.de and this wiki. The contents of Portal and Main-Page are basically swapped. Should we do likewise? --DirkS 11:17, 20 November 2007 (CET)
- Why would we have the main page -as it is at the moment- at all? Should just move the community portal info directly into the mainpage and drop the current mainpage content. --Dirk Bonné 12:00 21 Nov 2007
- I had the same thought as the radreisen-wiki people. There should be a place for a "taking part howto" i.e. editing guidelines that set technical discussion apart from community organisation stuff --DirkS 13:12, 20 November 2007 (CET)
How to format non-wiki pictures?
I would like to place the picture of Mike's python right of the table of contents. Anybody knows how to realise this with external pictures? --Jürgen 16:49, 6 December 2007 (CET)
Plain perfect! --Jürgen 20:56, 8 December 2007 (CET)
Design of Frontpage
I added a box class to enable us to have a layout which would bring the frontpage closer to radreise wiki. took me quite some time to figure out how things could work. The folks at radreisewiki did some really clever stuff i'm not fully understanding. Still, i tried my best :-) It's a pitty that including the picture of mikes python somewhere inside the table would break everything...and the picture above the table just shift everything far too low.... My assumption was that so far we don't need a general page with several community portals behind it. It would be sufficient to have a table layout with content in 2 columns where everything fits in. Please summarize, what categories we need. I just added the Trike section.--DirkS 21:12 (CET) 28/05/08
Would a not-exclusively-python page about bicycle lighting (and other electric systems) be useful/desired/allowed? I have some experimental setups on the bench, maybe it could help others if the results get published. If so, should it go under Theory and technical aspects, Building aspects, or somewhere else? --Mirek 14:29, 4 May 2012 (CEST)
- I see no problem with that as long as your setups are mounted on a python frame ;-) "Building aspects" seems a good place for your article. Looking forward + Cheers, Jürgen 09:55, 5 May 2012 (CEST)
- OK, thanks. --Mirek 18:27, 5 May 2012 (CEST)
